Tall Chinese Painted Storage Cupboard

This unique tall cupboard is made of solid elm, and features traditional Chinese painting depicting children playing and floral artwork.

The sides of the cabinet are painted, and then rubbed back to show areas of the undercoat and the original woodgrain. It is finished with a gloss varnish.

The cabinet provides three storage compartments and a drawer in the middle. All are fitted with copper handles.

The simple shape and muted colour make this a great statement piece for fitting into a wide range of decorative schemes, both contemporary and period.
