Vintage Chinese Wooden Basket

This rustic Chinese wooden basket dates from circa 1900s. It was traditionally used as a rice storage basket. It has been recently restored and hand painted in dark brown, revealing the texture and wood grain of elm. This vintage piece is great for storing kindling wood, magazines or as a planter.
